The regime in short

What is the Beckham Law?

The Beckham Law (the special tax regime for posted workers, Article 93 of Spain's personal income tax act) is a regime for people who move to Spain to work. Instead of the progressive IRPF rates that climb to 47%, qualifying residents pay a flat 24% on Spanish employment income up to €600,000 for up to six years — the year of arrival plus the following five.

It exists to make Spain attractive to international talent: remote employees, professionals on a Digital Nomad Visa, company directors, and highly qualified workers relocating from abroad. To qualify, you generally must not have been a Spanish tax resident in the previous five years, and you apply within six months of registering with Spanish Social Security by filing Modelo 149.

The calculator above gives a 2026 estimate: it applies the flat 24% rate, compares it against standard progressive IRPF, and factors in employee social-security contributions — so the take-home figure is realistic, not just gross minus 24%. It is an approximation. Your exact position depends on personal allowances, family circumstances, your autonomous community, and how your income is structured.
